The Simpson Strong-Tie BC series offers dual purpose post cap/base for light cap or base connections. The BC6Z post base is approved to be installed with the specified nails or Strong-Drive SD connector screws.
The Strong-Tie BC6Z post base features a ZMAX galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance and requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153.
Note: This cap is designed for 6" width lumber, not dimensional lumber. For dimensional lumber, see BCS2-3/6Z.
